Looks like Marc Anthony will be dedicating his heartfelt songs to someone new tonight.
The actor and salsa sensation Marc Anthony will be performing at a special concert for President Obama and his supporters to collect funds for the President’s campaign.
“Latinos are a force that can and will help decide this election . . . The President has our back, it’s time to let him know we’ve got his,” said Anthony in a President Obama campaign video.
The event will take place tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach. As of now the tickets are sold out but the prices ranged from $100 mezzanine seating to $5,000 VIP seating.
“Hello Miami! I am happy to announce that I will be playing a small concert in support of Barack Obama on June 26th,” said Anthony on his Twitter account.
According to the Miami Herald, the President will be attending the concert as well as the intimate dinner hosted by Anthony beforehand.
Anthony is among many other Latino stars publicly supporting the President.
Ricky Martin hosted a special LGBT event at the Rubin Museum of Art in support of the President. Tickets varied from $5,000 as a guest and $35,800 for a chair, which included a private reception and a photo, according to the Today show.
Eva Longoria also showed her support for President Obama in a presidential campaign video where she discussed all the positive things, in her opinion, the president did in the last three years.
