Latin jazz legend keeps music alive with young people

Arturo O’Farrill may best be known for his outstanding contributions to Latin jazz, but thousands of young people throughout New York City think of the Grammy award winner simply as a mentor and inspiring teacher. With the Fat Afro Latin Jazz Cats ensemble, O’Farrill proves that sometimes the greatest reward isn’t industry recognition – it’s the pride that comes from knowing the young people he’s mentored will keep the spirit of Latin jazz alive.
