Sexy heart-throb William Levy may be flexing his biceps on the big screen in Tyler Perry’s next film, thanks to the clues he’s been strategically dropping all week.
Levy revealed his new gig during a chatty interview with the Los Angeles Times, telling the paper:
“I had a meeting with Tyler Perry a couple weeks ago and now I have the opportunity to lead in one of his next projects, which starts filming in September,” Levy shared. “It’s a romantic comedy and, you know, I love love.”
Starring in a Perry production could yield a big bump in the Cuban star’s profile among mainstream audiences. The American film director’s last film, “Madea’s Witness Protection,” grossed over $26 million during its July opening weekend and the success of the “Madea” franchise has made Perry one of Hollywood’s hottest heavyweights.
Although there’s lots of speculation about the Levy’s new role, the third-place “Dancing With the Stars” personality and Pepsi Next spokesperson seems to have signed his name on the dotted line, telling Extra’s Mario Lopez on Wednesday that he admires Perry’s success and “feels blessed to be part of this project.”
