NBC is giving audiences a sneak preview of one of its new comedies Sunday night following the Olympics closing ceremony.
“Animal Practice”, set in a veterinary hospital, features just about as many four-legged actors as two-legged ones.
Running herd over the menagerie is Dr. George Coleman, played by Justin Kirk.
Coleman’s the irascible, unorthodox vet whose best bud is a capuchin monkey named Dr. Rizzo.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher stars as Dorothy Crane, the new director at her family business, Crane Animal Hospital.
Garcia Swisher most recently starred as the compulsive, newly – and quickly – engaged Mia on “Better with You.” She also starred in the television movie “Revenge of the Bridesmaids.”
The Tampa native was born to a Cuban father and an American mother, and was raised in a bilingual household. Being around doctors is not new to Swisher Garcia, whose father is a physician and founder of Medizone weight loss. She began acting at 10-years-old and caught the acting bug immediately.
The regular premiere of “Animal Practice” will be Wednesday, September 26th at 8pm.
