The United States will no longer offer undocumented immigrants free flights back to their home countries. The Department of Homeland Security began the program nearly a decade ago to fly undocumented immigrants to Mexico. More than 125,000 returned to Mexico City on the flights. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say ending the program will save $100-million. They add that a lack of demand for the flights has made them less cost-effective. Experts on both sides weigh in.
