One of Talia Joy Castellano’s dreams has come true. The 13-year-old makeup artist, battling two forms of cancer, told The Truth 365 last month that she would one day like to be a celebrity makeup artist. The celebrity she would most like to put makeup on is Ellen DeGeneres.
After many tweets and messages to Ellen from fans of Castellano’s YouTube makeup tutorials, which now have a total of 14 million views, asking her to put Castellano on her show, it happened. Not only that, but CoverGirl made Castellano their honorary CoverGirl.
Ellen asked the young girl, “Despite what the doctors have said…how do you stay so positive?”
Castellano responded candidly yet cheerfully, “When people ask me that I say, ‘What do you want me to be depressed?’…A little fishy told me, ‘Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming…”
