Eva Longoria no longer denying what fans have long suspected: she’s officially dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.
“Mark and I are, you know, fine,” reluctantly admitted Longoria to “Extra” host Mario Lopez when asked about her relationship status. “We’re happy just dating.”
The news follows sighting of the couple spending time together on low-key outings including quiet dinners and trips to the grocery store.

Longoria, 37, had previously been linked to Penelope Cruz’s younger brother Eduardo. The couple split earlier this year, while Sanchez’ previous relationships include actresses Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Hayden Panettiere. The 25-year-old played football at the University of Southern California and was drafted by the New York Jets in 2009.
Longoria, who went on the record saying that she’s a New York Jets fan, went on to discuss her highly publicized speech at last week’s Democratic National Convention.
“It was crazy scary but it was a big honor to have that audience and speak in front of the American people was a privilege and honor,” said Longoria in the interview. “I wanted to tell my story of the American dream.”
“I’m living my American dream so I wanted to make sure we vote for Obama to build that America where that dream is possible.”
