We told you who wore what. We shared some of the biggest highlights of the red carpet, got the biggest scoop with the reveal that Ryan Lochte is ready for love and shared the news that Eva Longoria’s secret weapon to looking fabulous as awards co-host are wigs (shocker!). And now, with the trophies distributed, it’s time to divulge the official winners’ list. There were some surprises and some obvious wins; several career upsets and more than a few awe-inspiring victories.
From soap star to America’s sweetheart, William Levy’s rise as a crossover star
The biggest loss of the evening might have been William Levy, who conceded the win for “Favorite TV Reality, Variety, or Comedy Personality or Act” award to Christina Aguilera, who made headlines with her leggy, form-fitting black dress as she also scooped up a special achievement award for her career and philanthropy.

“Puss and Boots” received a win for “Favorite Movie” while Diego Boneta made his presence known with a win for “Favorite Movie Actor,” beating Hollywood heavyweights including Benicio Del Toro, Andy Garcia and Martin Sheen.

And while the competition was fierce (and very well dressed!) for the title of “Favorite Movie Actress – Drama/Adventure,” Zoe Saldana snagged that award while “Parks and Recreation” darling Aubrey Plaza won “Favorite Movie Actress – Comedy/Musical.”

Meet Aubrey Plaza, comedy’s newest “It” girl
Career actors Rubén Blades and Demián Bichir rounded out the nominees for “Favorite Movie Actor – Supporting Role” alongside Emilio Estevez and Oscar Isaac, but an exceedingly well-dressed Édgar Ramírez won for his performance in “Wrath of the Titans.”

Some might have placed their bets on Sofia Vergara for a “Favorite Movie Actress – Supporting Role”win, but baby-faced newcomer Cierra Ramirez took home the award thanks to her fierce acting chops in “Girl in Progress.” And making her win all the sweeter? Director Patricia Riggen’s special achievement award, making the film the winner of the evening.
Ramirez wasn’t the only teen darling to take home a gold statue at the 2012 ALMA Awards. Tyler Posey won for “Favorite TV Actor” for his role on MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” while triple threat Naya Rivera won “Favorite Female Music Artist” and “Favorite TV Actress – Comedy.”

Other big television wins included “Modern Family” star Rico Rodriguez for “Favorite TV Actor – Supporting Role in a Comedy” and Constance Marie for “Favorite TV Actress – Supporting Role.” Rounding out the wins for television were Lana Parilla for “Once Upon a Time” and Jon Huertas for “Castle.”
And last but not least, fan favorite Pitbull (who also composed the theme music for the award ceremony), won the award for “Favorite Male Music Artist,” beating fellow superstars Ricky Martin, Romeo Santos, Bruno Mars and Carlos Santana.
