Police in Antioqua arrested German Bustos Alarcon, known as “The Puma.” He is suspected of being one of the most dangerous gang leaders in Colombia. Alarcon is also wanted in the United States for drug trafficking. In Nicaragua, authorities are investigating 18 Mexicans who they believe smuggled over nine million dollars in drugs while posing as journalists. Mexico City will build an expressway to ease the city’s traffic congestion. The new project will cost two-billion dollars and include new tunnels, transit and overpasses. And Uruguay’s Congress voted on a law that would legalize abortion. The law allows women to abort in their first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The law will now head to the Senate for approval.
