Christina Aguilera isn’t known as being shy – anyone watching the opinionated coach on “The Voice” has no doubt about that – but the songstress is using her award-winning voice to raise awareness about hunger relief.
The 31-year-old has teamed up with KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell as a global spokesperson to urge viewers to “join the chorus at From HungertoHope.com and use your voice for good” by donating time and funds to a number of hunger relief agencies, including the United Nations World Food Programme.
Aguilera, who recently won an ALMA Award in recognition for her career and philanthropic efforts, will appear in a commercial for the cause, which will hit the small screen in October.
The new PSA is just the latest in a series of highly public career moves for the mom to four-year-old Max. Despite the news that the current season of “The Voice” will be her last as coach, Aguilera expects to make a splash with her new album, “Lotus,” which will be released in November.
