Education Nation: Junior Achievement inspires student to succeed

Junior Achievement USA, has made it their mission since 1916 to prepare young men and women to take their rightful place in the workforce and “own their economic success” by learning “work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.” Junior Achievement has programs for students from K-12 in more than 120 locations across the U.S.

Joshua Plasencia, Junior Achievement’s Student of the Year and senior at the Academy of Finance and Enterprise in Queens, NY, has been one of 4 million U.S. students impacted by the organization. At Education Nation, he explained to NBCLatino how the program empowers students and allows them to experience valuable opportunities outside of the classroom.
