There’s no denying that Latino culture has helped shape Southern California’s lifestyle. With Hispanic Heritage Month in full swing, KNBC will celebrate Latinos’ contributions to sports, art and even politics during their 30-minute special feature, “Life Connected Special in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.”
In the special, anchors Alycia Lane and Michelle Valles will guide viewers through a series of stories about the 1960s Chicano Art movement and Latino baseball teams from the Inland Empire, who faced discrimination and segregation. The show will also feature a piece about the Latino vote and issues that impact the community.
For Southern California residents, the Hispanic Heritage Month special will air on Saturday October 6 at 8p.m. on NBC4 in Los Angeles.
