Fans, the wait is nearly over as the countdown to Ryan Lochte’s big role in hit comedy “30 Rock” is officially underway.
In the episode titled “Stride of Pride,” Lochte stars as himself – albeit a “sex idiot,” who seems to have spent some quality time with Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) new love interest.
“My character is a sex idiot,” the 28-year-old said with a smile in an on-set interview. “But I get to play myself, just Ryan Lochte so it’s not too much acting, which is pretty good.”
The swimmer-turned-actor didn’t feel any pressure with his role on the hit sitcom – now it’s in seventh and final season – but revealed that the certain aspects of the show’s production were potentially stressful.
“I’ve never really done any kind of acting on a street, especially in New York City,” Lochte confessed. “It could be a little nerve-wracking. But I think I got this …I’m very new into the acting world but just being on the show, being with Alec Baldwin – he’s made me feel kinda at home.”
“I feel like myself – I don’t feel like I’m acting.”
The episode airs on Thursday, Oct. 18th on 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
