Cafecito: America Ferrera on her role in Cesar Chavez biopic and voter registration

On this episode of Cafecito, we were joined by the proud and talented, America Ferrera. A known pioneer for her ground-breaking role as Betty Suarez, she has come a long way from her “Ugly Betty” fame. Actively engaged in voter-registration through her America4America movement with Voto Latino and empowering women around the world through her participation in  Half the Sky and the One campaign, America sat down with us to discuss her roles as Officer Orozco in “End of Watch,” and Helen Chavez in the much-anticipated Cesar Chavez biopic, “Chavez.”

Each week we will have a lively, candid conversation with prominent Latinos who shape our community – artists, politicians, actors, achievers and thinkers. Set at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Café in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, we will have a relaxed conversation over a cafecito about their personal and professional lives as Latinos in America.
