Mr. Worldwide and Mr. 305 was Mr. 30 Rock on Wednesday as he hit the Today Show for a special performance to promote his new album, “Global Warming,” which came out yesterday.

NBC Latino caught up with Pitbull backstage as he gave the lowdown on what fans can expect from his new effort, which features powerhouse Latino stars like Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias as well as Usher, Chris Brown and more.

He also talked about what being Cuban-American, Latino and American means to him.

But Pitbull couldn’t leave without addressing the crucial Latino vote. While in an earlier interview he called President Obama, “the first Dominican president,” he said the Census and the 2012 Hispanic vote may have been groundbreaking, but Latinos have always been here.
