“My mom was only trying to save my life – I was happy she took that decision,” said the 11-year-old girl, who has leukemia. Emily’s mother, Norma Bracamontes, snuck her daughter out of the hospital, even though the child has a catheter in her heart, because she said she was constantly being pressured about health insurance and mounting medical bills.
