Rivera – who sold more than 15 million albums in her lifetime – is expected to be buried in California.

Various media outlets, including entertainment blog LaLate, have reported that the Mexican-American icon will be buried in All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, California.

During Wednesday’s tribute at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, each of the members of Rivera’s family – her five children, two grandchildren, parents, four brothers and sister – were dressed in different shades of white and red and took their seats on a stage in front of some 6,000 fans. Between musical numbers played by a banda on stage, various relatives came forward to address the audience while a single microphone stood behind Rivera’s red casket.

“It’s just a real honor to say that Jenni Rivera that everyone is talking about is my mom,” said Rivera’s youngest son Johnny López Rivera told the audience. “She still lives in me.”
