It’s the time of year to exchange and open gifts, and according to Gerard Piqué, he and Shakira are enjoying the best present of all: a new baby boy.
Proud papa Gerard Piqué tweeted about the birth of his son, announcing his birth.
Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo! Estamos muy felices! Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!

“Our son is born! We’re very happy! Thank you everyone for your messages!” reads an English translation of the tweet.
But the F.C. Barcelona soccer player also posted a follow-up tweet hours later, sharing the name he and Shakira picked for their new baby: Inocencio – letting the world in on a hilarious, one-of-a-kind prank.
Ya tiene nombre! Se llama Inocencio! Feliz Día de los Inocentes a todos!

Dec. 28 is “Día de los Santos Inocentes” in Spain and is the country’s equivalent to April Fool’s Day. By “picking” the name Inocencio and tweeting “Happy Innocent’s Day!” the 25-year-old came clean about the joke to his Twitter followers, which number over 4 million.

It looks like the notoriously private couple pulled a fast one in anticipation of the 35-year-old singer’s real due date. Shakira – who is set to take the judge’s chair in “The Voice” next season – is reportedly due in early January and has been spending her holidays with Piqué in Barcelona, Spain.
