Everyone in America seems to have an opinion on the news that Beyonce lip-synced her way through the National Anthem during Monday’s presidential inauguration, and the latest to weigh in is entertainment powerhouse Jennifer Lopez.
“Sometimes it happens, when you’re in certain stadiums and in certain venues, they do pre-record things, because you’re gonna have that terrible slap back,” Lopez explained to Jon Stewart during an appearance on “The Daily Show.”
Citing Whitney Houston’s pre-recorded 1991 Super Bowl performance, Lopez admitted, “So yeah, people do it …all performers have to do it at some point.”
During her appearance on the Comedy Central show, Lopez also chatted up her new film “Parker” and the challenges of motherhood while on a seven-month-long world tour.
Lopez’s statements on Beyonce’s performance follows the announcement that the she will be collaborating with opera sensation Andrea Bocelli on a single on his new album “Passione.”
According to a press release on Bocelli’s website, the two will join forces on a Spanish language single titled “Quizás Quizás Quizás.” The “soft and sensual” track will headline the album to be released on Jan. 29.
