Mexican authorities released a French woman from custody yesterday after she spent seven years in jail for kidnapping charges. Courts ruled that her trial was tainted after police admitted to framing her.  A Spanish newspaper apologized for publishing a fake photo of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. The paper withdrew the grainy photo showing a man in a hospital with a breathing tube down his mouth.  Costa Rica’s president says her country, along with Mexico and Colombia, are talking to the U.S. about legalizing marijuana. She says the U.S. can help with the war on drugs by easing demand. A Haitian professional dancer has made a comeback after losing his leg in the 2010 earthquake. Using a prosthetic leg he danced the salsa, cha cha and samba in a dance show this week.
