Marc Anthony has officially split from Shannon de Lima, marking the end of the couple’s year-long relationship.
The couple called it quits in mid-January, Anthony’s publicist Blanca Lasalle confirmed to NBC Latino.
Anthony’s relationship with Lima – a Venezuelan model – was his first after separating from Jennifer Lopez. The couple – parents to four-year-old twins Max and Emmy – had been married for seven years before amicably parting ways in July 2011.
Anthony, 44, made his relationship with Lima public through Twitter last January, calling the 24-year-old his “Lady Liberty.”

Lima quickly became a constant fixture by Anthony’s side, making public appearances with the Puerto Rican crooner. From red carpet events to breaking ground on facilities for orphans in the Dominican Republic, the pair seemed inseparable.
The news follows headlines about Anthony’s participation in several high-profile events held in Washington, D.C. to celebrate of President Obama’s second term as president. He performed at the Commander-in-Chief’s Inaugural Ball and also appeared at the Latino Inaugural 2013 at The Kennedy Center.
Meanwhile, Lopez has been busy promoting her new action movie, “Parker.”
“I had recently decided to divorce and it was hard to get out of bed and go to the set every day,” Lopez told reporters about the similarities between herself and her character in the film.
“I knew what those feelings were, to feel your world was falling apart.”
