Thousands gathered in Santa Maria, Brazil to remember the victims of a deadly nightclub fire that killed more than 230 victims. Local officials are now cracking down on safety in other nightclubs. At least a dozen bodies believed to belong to members of a Colombian musical band were found in a well in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The band, Kombo Kolombia, went missing last week. Former Guatemalan dictator Efrain Rios Montt will stand trial on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity. He is connected to the murders of almost 2000 indigenous Mayans during a civil war in the 1980s. Also in Guatemala, several international organizations launched a campaign calling on President Otto Perez Molina to return land to nearly 800 peasant families. The families were evicted almost two years ago from the Polochic Valley.
