Jennifer Lopez is a singer, actress, dancer, producer and a philanthropist whose new clothing line for Kohl’s will donate all proceeds to fight breast cancer.
The Puerto Rican superstar has just launched a brand-new collection for Kohl’s – including tote bags, lounge wear, jewelry and accessories – that will retail for $5, $10 and $15 apiece with 100% of the net profit being donated to breast cancer research through the Southeastern Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the American Cancer Society’s Midwest Division.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women of Hispanic descent.
All of the pink and purple clothing and accessories have been designed by La Diva Lopez and will only be available in Kohl’s stores in Wisconsin (where the chain has its corporate headquarters) and online.
Lopez – whose first exclusive collection for Kohl’s debuted in 2011 – is hardly new to fashion design.
Her clothing line, “J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez” first hit store shelves back in 2001, and Lopez continues to make headlines when it comes to her own clothing choices, her black Grammy Awards dress with its thigh-high slit being no exception.
