Salma Hayek became famous for her dramatic roles but the Mexican actress has been churning out back-to-back comedies these days and her latest, “Grown Ups 2,” looks like it may very well be one of the summer’s biggest laugh-out-loud hits.
In the movie, Hayek reprises her 2010 role as the wife of Adam Sandler’s character. As the gorgeous Roxanne Chase-Feder, she brings her sense of humor as she and her hubby Lenny leave Los Angeles for their small hometown.
The film’s all-star cast includes Taylor Lautner, Andy Samberg, David Spade and Chris Rock. Also featured in the movie? Her “Here Comes the Boom” love interest, Kevin James.
“I’m happy now so I like doing comedy – I like people to be happy, to laugh and this movie is definitely that,” Hayek told NBC Latino about filming “Here Comes the Boom.” “It’s so hard to find films that you can laugh to with your entire family and I think knowing that made this experience special. I know I love to go to the movies and forget about the problems of the world with my family.”
“Grown Ups 2” arrives in theaters July 12.
