A new report says

Immigration timeline: Tuesday bill, Friday hearing

This week will be the political debut of the full immigration plan.

Both Democrats and Republicans say the plan will be unveiled Tuesday after earlier mixed signals about how best to introduce their product.

Sources tell NBC News “a little tinkering is still happening –but nothing substantive” on the comprehensive overhaul which includes a path to citizenship, guest worker visas and border security.

The four Republican senators (McCain, Graham, Rubio, Flake) will brief their GOP colleagues Monday evening after the day’s guns vote.  Democrats (Durbin, Schumer, Menendez, Bennet) are expected to do the same.

Early Tuesday, outreach is planned to conservative interest groups to explain what’s in the package and how Republicans intend to sell it.

On Friday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold its first hearings on the immigration measure and witnesses are still being set to address issues like the economic impact and security requirements of the plan.
