The pressure is on for some of the most talented young singers in the country.
Fans of Telemundo’s “La Voz Kids” get to see their favorite kid singers perform live for the very first time tonight. After weeks of blind auditions, the final 18 participants have all been set and are gearing up for their chance to win the hearts of fans across the country and Latin America.
Last week, judges Paulina Rubio, Prince Royce and Roberto Tapia faced off to compete for their favorite singers and choose the final contestants to complete their teams. The 18 contestants, who are all between the ages of 7 and 14, have already won the hearts of the judges, but now as the competition heats up they will have to vie for viewer’s votes through several rounds of sing-offs.
The reality show’s reigning star will get the grand prize of a recording contract just like on NBC’s “The Voice” and a scholarship.
“La Voz Kids” is one show where Latinos make up all of the stars- both at the judge’s table and as contestants. The music talent show is certainly resonating with Hispanic audiences. Two weeks ago the show reached its largest audience ever with over 2 million viewers tuning in.
Both NBC Latino and Telemundo are owned by NBC Universal. Watch the first of the live shows of “La Voz Kids” this Sunday at 8/7c on Telemundo
