Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have kept the birth of their baby daughter under wraps but the name they’ve chosen to give their new arrival is decidedly out of this world.
Cruz and Bardem have named their daughter Luna – which in Spanish, means moon – reports Spanish Vanitatis.
Bardem registered the birth of their daughter in Madrid’s registrar office on July 30, reports Vanitatis.
The couple have yet to release a statement confirming the birth of their daughter.
Cruz, 39, and Bardem, 44, welcomed their daughter in Madrid on July 22. The couple – that wed in July 2010 – have one son, two-year-old Leonardo.
Cruz recently made headlines with her directorial debut, a short film for upscale lingerie brand Agent Provocateur. The short – advertising a capsule line the actress designs with sister Monica – features cameos by her Monica and husband Bardem amidst a set of scantily clad models.
